Phoenix Based Mortgage Banker Gives Back to Its Local Community

Glendale, Arizona (July 14, 2011) – On Thursday, July 14, 2011 Alliance Financial Resources, LLC hosted the Jeramiah Miracle Fund Charity Bowling Tournament at the Brunswick Zone in Glendale, AZ. The event was coordinated to raise funds for Jeramiah Remond, a local young boy who had a very rare and serious type of cancer for which no treatment, beyond surgery, is currently approved for children. He has already had two major surgeries – but his future holds much hope. Jeramiah needs the best care and nutrition available to give him the best chance for long term health and well-being.

In an effort to help support this cause, Alliance Financial Resources mortgage bankers paid it forward by volunteering to help raise donations and sponsors for their participation in a “No Tap” bowling tournament held at the Brunswick Zone in Glendale, AZ.

“The event was a great success,” said Alliance Financial Resources President Jamie Korus.  “We had great participation and all the players seemed to have a really good time. We were able to collectively raise $2650 for the Jeramiah Miracle Fund, which surpassed our fundraising goal.  As the mortgage industry may have recently developed a bad image due to the economic crisis, mortgage meltdown, and continued regulation change, there is much to appreciate that we are still standing strong,” continued Korus. “It is through this appreciation, that we feel we need to unite and work together to show our gratitude by giving back to someone in need.”

Alliance Financial Resources, LLC is a Mortgage Banker located in Phoenix, Arizona, and provides residential home loans in Arizona, California, Utah, Colorado, New Mexico, Idaho, Alabama, Texas, Iowa, Oregon, and Tennessee.

Local Mortgage Bankers Raise $2500 for Phoenix Children’s Hospital

Scottsdale, Arizona  (June 7, 2011) – More than 100 Mortgage Bankers from across the valley showed off their softball skills over the weekend at El Dorado Park in Scottsdale, AZ in support of the 2nd annual “Get on B.A.S.E. (Bankers Annual Softball Event) for Charity” softball tournament, hosted by Alliance Financial Resources.

The event drew more than 250 spectators and 100 participants from 5 different mortgage banks located here in the Phoenix area.  Among them were Alliance Financial Resources, Cherry Creek Mortgage, Wallick & Volk, Homeowners Financial Group and Cascade Financial Services.

Air Force Vietnam Veteran, Roy Leon, who flew 7 missions over North Vietnam from 1971-1976 was present to throw out the honorary first pitch to begin the day.

“I think we had a spectacular weekend,” said tournament founder and Alliance Financial Resources Vice President Angie Havel. “We had great participation this year, all the teams seemed to have a really good time and we were able to collectively raise $2500 for charity this year, which was our main fundraising goal.  As our industry has grown smaller due to the economic crisis, mortgage meltdown, and continued regulation change, there is much to appreciate that we are still standing strong,” continued Havel. “It is through this appreciation, that we feel we need to unite and work together to show our gratitude by giving back to the community that supports our businesses.”

Cascade Financial Services took home the first place trophy and will be presenting the award to The Phoenix Children’s Hospital later this month.
